It is essential to take good care of your Chakras and keep them in a balanced state, let us now see how our food can help us bring in the balance that we need.
OUR FOOD
The concept of using food to heal the chakras is based on the fact that the energy generated in our bodies is produced by the foods we eat. Not only the physical but also the spiritual energy is influenced by the food we eat.
This is why it is said – We are What We Eat!
This approach believes that certain foods resonate with the energy of the particular chakra and help to nourish and balance it. By incorporating various foods in our diet, we can help in balance and energise each chakra.
As mentioned in the previous article each chakra corresponds to different colours and their frequency, on a biological level and different colours in foods mean they absorb different spectrums of light. Our cells, in turn, are known to absorb these spectrums and utilize light energy. By consuming foods that match with chakra colours, we might be helping our body absorb a spectrum of light energy that resonates with the specific chakra.
Let us see which food item can help in harmonising and balancing which chakra
#1 -Root Chakra
As the name goes, the root chakra can be balanced by roots or underground vegetation. Also, food red in colour like Red apples, beets, tomatoes, pomegranates, strawberries, and raspberries, spices such as paprika, cayenne, and horseradish support the root chakra.
Root chakra is the "Mooladhara" and is associated with earth element, it is responsible for the sense of security and stability
Root chakra is the building block of our body; hence it also needs good amount of nourishing Proteins.
#2 -Sacral chakra
This Chakra controls all fluids and creativity in our body and it can be nourished by taking orange coloured food like carrots, mango, orange, peppers, peaches, apricot and sweet potatoes. Nuts and seeds such as almonds, walnuts, flax seeds, cumin and sesame aids the body fluids to function better by keeping heart healthy.
Keeping yourself hydrated is also essential as this chakra supports all fluids in the body. You must include plenty of water, coconut water or herbal teas in your fluid intake.

This chakra is a representation of our confidence, will power and mental strength and its colour is yellow. Embrace the vibrancy of yellow (which is also a mood enhancer) with foods like bananas, corn, and yellow peppers, lemons. Grains like wheat, brown rice, oats, sprouts, beans are good for this chakra.
Whole grain products serve as a source of sustained energy that facilitates assertiveness and proactive decision-making. Dairy products, especially when fermented, support healthy digestion, which is closely related to the functions of this chakra.

The colour associated with Heart Chakra is green, and all green - raw food is good for its nourishment. Heal and balance your Heart Chakra with kale, broccoli, spinach, coriander, parsley, lettuce, green tea, avocado, spirulina, oats, barley, peas, kiwi, etc. Green vegetables not only provide sustenance but also support and enhance its energy of heart chakra.
Antioxidant-rich foods contribute to cardiovascular health because the heart chakra is located near the heart.

Dark chocolate and moderate caffeine consumption can stimulate the brain, promoting concentration and awareness, enhancing its function.
#7- Crown Chakra
The crown chakra is mostly concerned with your connection to your higher self, and meditative state so it has more to do with fasting and detoxing than the food you eat.
Eating light Satvik food and drinking water or detox teas can help, the best way to boost and balance this chakra is to meditate and do yoga.
Spiritual Gyan:
Our physical body layer of the aura is called annamaya kosha and anna means food. Do you see the connect?? The physical body is something that is affected by our food. The better we eat, the better our body mind and soul gets & balances our life overall.
Conclusion:
A balanced diet and an intent to keep yourself healthy and happy is one of the ways to keep your chakras balanced but remember chakra balancing is not a one-time fix, rather it is a continuous process. It requires us to constantly keep working so that all elements remain balanced and in tune with our higher self.

Very well explained. I think balance diet is one part of our being actually balance is required in everything, be it our chakras, health, body, faith, thought, philosophy, or a personality as whole. Because excess of everything is bad.
Very informative
Very informative and very nicely written. Now I know why we are told to different coloured foods.
Mostly colours of raw food are very beneficial but what about cooked food? Do their colours also work the same way ?
