The Pendulum Within: A Journey Between Chaos and Spiritual Awakening

There is a silent pendulum swinging inside every human being.
Back and forth. Light and darkness.Clarity and confusion. Spirituality and chaos.
You may not see it, but you feel it. I call it the Spiritual Pendulum.

There are days when you wake up early, your mind calm, your breath steady. You light a diya, sit in silence, maybe chant a mantra or pull a tarot card. In those moments, you feel aligned… guided… protected
And then, almost suddenly, life happens.
A harsh word..... An unexpected bill...... A wave of self-doubt........ Old wounds quietly resurfacing....
And just like that, the pendulum swings.
You move away from your center. Meditation feels like a task. Faith feels distant. You react instead of respond. You question everything you once felt so sure about.
And then comes the guilt.
"Why am I like this?""I was doing so well… what happened?"
But here’s the truth most people don’t talk about—
The Spiritual pendulum is not your enemy. It is your teacher.
Imagine yourself, deeply spiritual and mostly aligned or atleast you think you know that you are a spiritual person. You attended healing workshops, practiced Reiki, trusted your intuition. But every few weeks, you fall back into anxiety, overthinking, and emotional chaos.
At first, you believe you are failing.

"Maybe I’m not spiritual enough."Maybe I’m doing something wrong."
So you try harder. More rituals. More readings. More searching.
But the more you resist your chaos, the stronger it becomes.
Until one day, exhausted, you stop fighting.
You simply observe.
When you feel peaceful, you allow it. When you feel chaotic, you allow that too.
No judgment. No labels. No forcing yourself to “fix” it.
That’s when you notice something profound—
The pendulum was slowing down.
You see, the more you resist one side, the stronger its pull becomes.
When you cling to spirituality and reject your chaos, you create imbalance. And imbalance always seeks correction.
But when you embrace both…when you understand that chaos is not the opposite of spirituality, but a part of it…
Something shifts.
Your reactions soften. Your awareness deepens. Your inner pendulum begins to stabilize.
So how do you overcome this constant swinging?
Not by stopping it.But by mastering it.

Become the Observer
You are not your thoughts, not your emotions. You are the one witnessing them. The moment you observe without reacting, you reduce the swing.
Create Daily Anchors
Instead of depending on “mood-based spirituality,” build non-negotiable practices—5 minutes of breathwork, grounding, or silent sitting. Consistency steadies the pendulum.
Stop Chasing High Vibrations
Spirituality is not about feeling good all the time. It’s about being aware at all times. Even in anger. Even in fear.
Honor Your Chaos
Your triggers are not setbacks—they are doorways. Every emotional reaction is showing you something that needs healing.
Return, Again and Again
The magic is not in never falling…
It’s in how gently you return to yourself every time you do.
You don’t become someone who never felt chaos again; you become someone who is no longer afraid of it. And that changes everything.
The pendulum still swings. It always will, but now, instead of being thrown from one extreme to another…
You stand in the center.
Grounded. Aware. Powerful.
And from that center, you don’t just experience spirituality—
You become it.

So yes it is happening with me my pendulum ratio is 70:30 (positive : negetive). It's painful when you think why I am like this. Your blog comes to me as an answer of my question today I asked. Balancing, witnessing are tough tasks but yes we all need to grow day by day.
Well written article
